Here's the greatest generation of 911, according to DriveTribe users

Did you see that coming?

Earlier this week, I asked you all what you think is the greatest generation of Porsche 911 and the responses I got actually blew me away. The answer which became the most popular was in fact the one I thought would come further down the line, I guess I underestimated you all.

The greatest generation of 911, according to you is the first generation of 911. It came out in 1963 and lasted until 1973 when it was replaced by the 'G-Series' which came just before the 964. I guess you all chose this for nostalgia reasons or because of its looks, either way, I can't disagree.

So, the first generation of 911 came first, so what came next? Well, in second place is the 993, then the G-Series, 964, 992, 991.2, 996, 997, 991, 997.2 and in last place is the 996.2 which actually surprised me.

But now I want to ask you, which is better out of the top three. Is it the 911 (first gen), 993, or G-Series. Vote below!

  • I’m surprised the 996 did better than the 997 (I do like the 996 though). As nice as the 912 is, I’d have to go with the G-series

  • i’d say the 964 is the best, followed by the 997, G Model, and 901.

  • Bruh. The 912 is a separate model, it is a 4 cyl 911. That is like saying a Cayman T or a 914 is a 911.
