For decades, Rick Tregworthy has been building up and preserving a truly impressive collection of General Motors history at the Muscle Car City Museum in Punta Gorda, Florida.

Now, though, as he looks to retire, Tregworthy is in the process of selling off his immense collection of over 200 cars spanning 80 years of production through Mecum Auctions.

At the time of publication, pre-bidding is in process on all cars in the collection, which most notably includes a total of 48 Corvettes – including everything from a 1954 C1 Roadster all the way to the all-new mid-engined C8.

However, Corvettes are far from the only thing represented in the collection, with Chevrolet Camaros and El Caminos, Pontiac GTOs, Oldsmobile 442s, and an array of GM pickup trucks are also all present and for sale in this auction.

There are even some rarities such the racecar built for Charlie's Angels (2000) in the collection and up for grabs as well.

Bidding is currently open on the Mecum Auctions website, and the entire collection is offered with no reserve, so get your cheque books ready.

    • I bought a 69 350ci 350hp 4speed silver w/ black interior. Had it 10 years and loved it everyday but family size finally won out and I constantly look for a replacement. Best car I ever had.
