Hero fields 3 riders with Santosh for Andalucia Rally, Noah enters with Sherco
There will be two Indian riders in action for the Andalucia Rally.
The cross-country action - in preparation for the 2021 Dakar Rally - gets underway next week amid the COVID-19 pandemic with the Andalucia Rally in Spain, which will take place from October 6 until October 10, with Cars and Moto categories to run along with Quads.
The Hero MotoSports Rally outfit will have a full line-up with CS Santosh, Joaquim Rodrigues and Sbeastian Buehler to ride the Speedbrain 450cc machine. It is a first run for the Indo-German outfit since pulling out of 2020 Dakar due to the death of Paulo Goncalves.
Buehler will carry #16, while Rodrigues will have #27 and Santosh with #50. The Bangalorean will not be the sole Indian on the grid as Harith Noah has also entered to compete aboard the #30 Sherco 450cc bike - it is unclear if TVS Racing will be involved in it too.
Noah will have Lorenzo Santolino on the #15 Sherco but he is entering in the RallyE class, while Rui Goncalves will be on the #19 bike in the same category. It will be the Indian's first proper rally event after a solid run in the Dakar Experience category earlier in the year.
The two Indian-partnered outfits did not have a smooth Dakar run.
