History of my Astra H estate that I paid £80 for.

I bought it in 2016 for £80 off a friend that left it sat under a tree for 2 years it had no battery so I couldn’t even start it up it was a risk but for 80 I couldn’t complain I took it for a mot but give it a quick wash first to clear the tree sap off it and some how it passed just changed the coil pack and sparks and the car was fine surprisingly, didn’t need new brakes either.

Fast forward a few months I had fitted new half leather to the car as the smell from the old seats was bad, put a new seal around the Ariel and fixed the leak of the third brake light seal on the boot, also new 19’ snowflakes, new de badged grille, tinted plates, new darker door trims, new lights etc few things I may have missed how ever the car was starting to look nice.

The end was near

Travelling down from Manchester to Birmingham on the M6 traffic suddenly came to a halt I slammed on managed to stop behind a Bentley suv on a test drive how ever the car behind me didn’t notice and slammed into the rear of me and then a second hit from a Peugeot into him so I got rammed twice forcing me into the Bentley, luckily the tow bar took the hit and I was able to drive home, took it to a friends garage and all the underneath was bent and twisted so sadly was beyond repair.

A lot of people criticise Astras but this one did me good, would I own another ? Yes but the 1.9 Diesel as more options are out there as I had the 1.6 sxi estate
