home made twin crutch conversion
had my (second) electric vehicle barely a week and i've improved it
On returning home recently from a brief if intense stay in a Swiss hospital, the folks here presented me with the thoughtful gift of an old electric wheelchair salvaged from a local farmer's barn and tastefully restored.
It's very handy for walking the dogs and for setting out across the fields to annoy Mindy when she's mucking out the horses but for the rest of the time, crutches are sufficient. The problem comes when changing from one to the other: There is no means of storing the crutches on the chair and if I leave them behind I'm stranded when I finally get to wherever I'm going. And so I have customised it with twin crutch scabbards. I had to have help: Charlie did the dangerous cutting bits, claiming that with my accident record his nerves couldn't stand the sight of me with a saw.

To be honest, I can't believe the twin crutch scabbard is not fitted as standard and am happy to offer this modification to anyone wanting it. Although I have run out of disused drainpipe. And cable ties. And Charlie's taken his saw home. So don't hold your breath.

If you put the chair on autopilot and hold the two crutches out in front of you, you could pretend to be the nose gunner in an Avro Lancaster.
Oh for goodness sake James, don't encourage him!
If the wheelchair has reverse he could be the rear gunner too.
The old and unforgettable TOP GEAR
they got beaten by handicapped soldiers 😁
The three middle-aged guys ... with their top gear challenges
I'm sure Jeremy would take customization one step further
When I read "tastefully restored" I was expecting Clarkson or May to have replaced the joystick with something penis-shaped
A fiver says you'll crash it within a week.
