Hot Sixty 4th: A Jag in Team Transport

    A European classic car

Welcome to Hot Sixty 4th where I showcase DLM 1/64 and smaller and sometimes slightly larger. It was just 2018 when Hot Wheels launched the Team Transport series under the Car Culture banner as a new way to expand the Car Culture line up. To me it was an exciting time as Hot Wheels will combine their great looking premium car with a truck. The first release is a combination of licensed and unlicensed trucks and for the generic trucks, they were actually realistic looking. We are now on Mix 6 and for my 3rd post in Drivetribe and 249th total post I present the #14 Jaguar Lighweight E-type and Carry on.

Let's look at this British beauty.

I've noticed that a lot of the cars in Team Transport were Japanese cars with a few European cars sprinkled in between. This Jaguar is the newest casting for now of a wonderful classic vintage British car back in the sixties.

Mattel may have decided to use unlicensed truck as most likely they figured people would buy these more for the license car. However I am glad that they don't look anything like any futuristic fantasy truck. I just wished they've come up with a better name for it rather than a generic sounding like 'Carry On'.

I believe the bed is supposed to slide in real life but this does not have any moving parts.

The cab and chassis of the truck is metal while the car has metal on chassic and body. This is the latest and probably the last Team Transport for 2019.
