HOT SIXTY 4TH: A LOOK BACK ON CC CARGO CARRIERS PART 3
Welcome to Hot Sixty 4th where I showcase DLM 1/64 and smaller and sometimes slightly larger. It has been almost 4 years when the first Car culture came into the scene. There were of course some hiccups when some of the store did not received the first Japan Historics 5 car set. Unless you did a pre-order which I surprisingly did, you were not guaranteed to get one if not all of the cars. This series became a hit for Hot wheels and continues to release new and not so new castings and today I would like to show off Cargo Carriers which I think is one of their most popular release for 2018. For my 9th post in Drivetribe and 255th total post I present # 3//5 Volkswagen Sunagon.
Debuted in 1982 and designed by Larry Wood this wonderful casting most likely based on a T3 is a favorite among collectors. In the U.S. the actual van was called Vanagon and the pun 'Sunagon' was due to the high-raising roof "to the sun". The original mold was discontinued after 1987 and retool starting 2011. As stated one feature it has is the ability to raise the plastic roof. At the back is a molded plastic motorcycle.
More to come.
