Hot Sixty 4th: Land Rover Defender 110
My new Majorette (hotsixty4th Landrover)
Welcome to Hot Sixty 4th where I showcase DLM 1/64 and smaller and sometimes slightly larger. It's been a long time since I actually acquired a new Majorette as I was not very impressed with the wheels they used nowadays. However I do still have the Majorettes that were issued back in the 20th century LOL. So for my 116th post In Drivetribe and 362nd total post I bring you the Land Rover Defender by Majorette.
This specific model falls under the 'Deluxe Cars' category. I bought this because it came with opening features that were not available in other manufacturers.
It also has plastic headlights. The front grille however looks more like a decal.
The spare wheel is just molded plastic but I like it better than the low profile chrome wheel they slapped on this casting.
Costing more than a $1.00, I think the extra feature did make up for the extra cost. This is even cheaper than a Matchbox premium with a collector box included. The doors do have a gap when close but that is to be expected on a small scale. It would even be perfect if old school steel wheels were used instead.
