Hot Sixty 4th: Serious Off Roader

Best looking off road livery

Welcome to Hot Sixty 4th where I showcase DLM 1/64 and smaller and sometimes slightly larger. Previously I posted the Nissan Patrol 60 civilian version which is the competitor with other off road vehicle like Defender and Land Cruiser. Well Toyota did not take this lightly so for my 5th post in Drivetribe and 251st total post, I present to you the 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser by Johnny Lightning.

This bad boy is one seriously equipped with off road accessories and gears. This is one of 4800 made casting and is a Mijo exclusive so this may only be available at your hobby shop or online.

I love this livery as it reminds me of Advan which is also a Yokohama product.

I love how it also has a nice black roof rack with an actual wheel and rubber tire with the Yokohama lettering clearly printed on all the tires. It also included spare gasoline containers and a shovel on the side. Plus it has overhead lights and lastly another spare tire on the rear. Talk about being fully prepared for the long haul.

One last thing. This baby also has opening hood which I apologized for not taking a picture of it. Overall I think Johnny Lightning did a fantastic job on this casting. Absolutely a must have for Land Cruiser collectors.
