Hot Sixty 4th: Wonderful World of Wreckers Day 3
A wrecker for a bigger vehicle (hotsixty4th M2 Chevrolet)
Welcome to Hot Sixty 4th where I showcase DLM 1/64 and smaller and sometimes slightly larger. Now who doesn't love playing with a wrecker as a kid? I certainly enjoyed the play value of being able to pull a car with the attached hook and so for my 87th post in Drivetribe and 333rd total post I bring you the 1970 Chevrolet C60 Tow truck from M2 under their R50 Auto Trucks series.
Chevy's tandem models were available in two basic types - Chevy C50 trailing axle tandems with GVW ratings to 30,000 lbs., and Chevy C60 dual-drive tandems with GVW ratings to 45,000 lbs. The look of this truck was probably made between 1967 until 1972.
M2 use to pride itself with regards to their detail and moving parts but their is no tow function nor separate head and tail lights. There are no moving parts except the wheels. The casting contains about 85% metal. There are no QC issue for this model. So if you want something for display or for your diorama. It is not the most realistic detail without those delicate parts like side mirrors but definitely something that you can put on your hands without worrying about damaging your model.
