How cool is this slammed Ford Maverick concept?

GIven that Ford has just recently started delivering their new pickup to customers, I figured we might see a variant or two at SEMA this year. The D.R.A.G.G. beach rescue truck and the Air Design variant were well within my expectations for what Ford might do with the little truck. What I didn't expect, however, was for them to reveal a slammed street truck-style Maverick.

Created in collaboration with Tucci Hot Rods, this Ford Maverick goes a different direction than your typical truck build. The most significant change is the ride height, which dropped more than 5 inches thanks to a custom coilover setup by ICS Suspension. The wider fenders were 3D printed and installed with no exposed hardware, giving it a more OEM+ look. The front lip and the cabin spoiler were 3D printed as well. They add style to this build without being too aggressive.

The truck bed is complimented with a tonneau cover to clean up the look and provide a better aerodynamic profile courtesy of Ford. The wheels are a set of handmade white turbo-fans laid over the stock steelies.

Finishing off the exterior is a Borla Catback exhaust, which is the only go-fast part installed on this truck.

The interior of the truck is tricked out as well. It has been fitted with Recaro seats, racing harnesses, a dashcam, and some custom trim pieces to complete the look.

Overall I think Tucci Hot Rods did a phenomenal job with this concept. Not only did they take this truck in a direction that nobody expected, but they executed it beautifully. The truck looks markedly different without being in your face. Hats off to Dominick Tucci and the rest of their team.

  • See I'm not a truck person. I don't care for them, especially when they are lifted on bands and staggered. But THIS, is the one truck I actually like...
