The video below was filmed using a Flir T1K camera. This is a Honda S2000 lifted up onto jack stands so the rear of the car is in the air. The engine is revved while the rear hand-brake is applied to view the warming of the discs. Also fascinating to see the impacts wheels have on brake cooling.

  • This was really cool to watch. Thanks for sharing. Back in October, my cousin and I were going down to Maryland from NY, and before we got too far we discovered his rear driver side brake was sticking. It got so hot in only about 5-10 minutes of driving that the powder coat on the caliper flaked off.
