How much would it really cost to crash at the Nürburgring?

For pretty much all petrolheads, it is a lifelong dream to drive on the iconic Nürburgring using your very own road going vehicle. Thankfully, ze Germans allow you to do this for a mere £30.

However, if you are to crash, then you could be looking at a serious bill. This video goes into the details of things you will need to fork out for if you (god forbid) had a crash.

This video is based on a worst case scenario meaning you may not have to pay this much but you may also need to pay more if it got even worse. Let's say you crashed your car and damaged 20 metres worth of fencing. All this together including recovery trucks, beams, barriers, clean up crews, safety cars etc could cost you upwards of £3,000.

On top of this, you would need to pay for transport to get your poorly car back home again, and if home is the UK then that's a long drive. So, don't crash on the Nürburgring.

Did you think it would be so expensive?
