How the Ferrari 458 Italia changed my life


The year is 2014 and a game called Gran Turismo 6 is looming on the horizon. As someone who owned a playstation 3 at the time, this was exiting news. When I logged on the game I had saved up some money and knew where I was going to spend it, Ferrari. I scroll through the menus and purchase a Rosso Corsa Ferrari 458 Italia from 2009. Whilst I had played Gran Turismo 5 and seen the 458, it never really impacted me and I always preferred the race cars and my car of choice was the Mercedes SLS AMG. But as soon as I took this red beast onto Cote d’azure circuit and heard the naturally aspirated 4.5 litre V8 rev to 9000rpm and unleash over 500bhp to the wheels I fell in love. Everything about this car fascinated me. At this time I was a car enthusiast but nothing like I am today. This car fuelled my passion for the love of all things automotive. I remember the day when I went to goodwood and saw a brand new Ferrari 488. I was heartbroken to see my dream car be lost to time. To this day the Ferrari 458 remains one of my favourite cars and ever produced.
