When Porsche first began making plans for the launch of the Taycan Cross Turismo, it was long before anyone knew a pandemic was on the horizon.

It was decided that a very late prototype would drive from California, all the way to Germany, where it would turn up on stage ready for its own grand unveiling.

But how could that happen when international travel was largely banned?
