I often get asked about Matte Finishes on cars and what happens if you get a scratch. And although that's impossible to fix without respraying I still get asked about how to look after them with washing as people believe that you can't use chemicals. But that's far from the truth.
So in this video i have made a simple to follow guide for washing Your matte or Satin Finish. So in the Video we cover things such as the correct temperature to be washing the car. We also explore types of chemicals you can use and also some of the methods such as the two bucket method and why its important to use it on Matte Paint.
Which Shampoo is best for Matte or Satin Paint?
Ideally you need something that is PH neutral that is safe from any alkaline.
Can you Snow foam Matte Cars?
Yes 100%. Some snow foams may not work as well and its not all about the foam itself. The cannon and the volume of foam combined with air can make a huge difference.
Can you use fallout remover on Satin paint?
Yes but be very careful and avoid using it in warm conditions and keep out of direct sunlight.
Can you wax matte Paint?
There are very few waxes you can use but swissvax make one called opaque. Some car waxes will have a negative effect on the paint and they may have gloss enhancers.
