The mid-engine Corvette finally arrived recently and one thing that all of us car enthusiasts love to do is configure cars. To have a chance to select the colors and options of our dream cars is very fun and exciting

How I configured the C8

There is a lot of cool color options for the C8. Everything from Sebring orange, accelerate yellow, torch red and Elkhart lake blue, but rapid blue is the one that stands out to me. It is a gorgeous bright blue and it fits well with the design in my eyes. To go along with the rapid blue, I would desire a blue interior. I was pretty happy to see that GM offered a blue interior for the C8. Blue interiors are not very common, meaning I could have a fairly unique spec. There isn't just blue or black though. You can go with different variations of tan, brown or even red if you prefer. For equipment, I selected the Z51 package for the better anti-lock brakes, performance ratio rear axle, limited slip differential and performance suspension. I decide I would want the "engine appearance" package. If I have a mid-engine car, I want the engine bay to look nice, so why wouldn't I go for it? It does cost a heft amount of $995, but you get led lights and carbon fiber, so it should pay off.

For wheels I chose the 19'' five spokes with a darker color and yellow brake calipers. For some optional extras I chose the front lift memory system, which costs about $1,495. I also opted for the Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension which costs a hefty $1,895. The total cost turns out to be $86,215 which is quite a lot of money, but you are getting supercar characteristics and an engine that sits in the middle for under $100,000
