Hullabaloo in Hungary: Predictions for the Hungarian Grand Prix

Will I be more accurate than Kiran? *again* πŸ˜‰

It's been two weeks since we last went racing in Formula 1 - and what a crazy long weekend it was! But fear not, everything is back to normal this weekend as F1 goes racing in Budapest. Kiran and I had our work cut out this time around though given the manic nature of the Silverstone weekend. I will point out though that I had two correct predictions which must be some kind of record - and further proof you should agree with me over Kiran!

But enough of all that, let's cut to the chase. Here's what we predict will happen in Hungary this weekend.

Who will be on Pole Position?

Thiemo Albers-Daly:

Building off the momentum he built in qualifying at Silverstone and from the fact that he absolutely loves the track, Lewis will clinch Pole Position yet again - but only just.

Kiran Ganesh:

Ferrari are fast in low speed circuits and it's going to be Lord Perceval Leclerc on pole.

Who will end up on the Podium?

Kiran Ganesh:

Ferrari will hit back at the Silverstone heartbreak with a 1-2. Leclerc, Sainz, Verstappen is my podium prediction.

Thiemo Albers-Daly:

Lewis won't convert pole into his ninth win at the track. Instead he'll settle for second just behind an astounding Lando Norris with Sergio Perez bringing up the rear in third.

Shock Prediction?

Thiemo Albers-Daly:

Mick Schumacher will get into Q2 on Saturday.

Kiran Ganesh:

Red Bull will have 2 pit stops of over 5 seconds.

What will happen in Formula 3?

Kiran Ganesh:

Dennis Hauger will score less than 10 points in the whole weekend, with Martins hitting back in the title fight.

Thiemo Albers-Daly:

Arthur Leclerc will finally have a good weekend in all three races and leap up in the Driver's Standings.

What about W Series?

Thiemo Albers-Daly:

Fabienne Wohlwend will win the race which will make everybody very very happy.

Kiran Ganesh:

Powell and Chadwick, the main title rivals, will hit each other.

So there you have it. Who do you think will have the most correct predictions this weekend? What do you think will happen? Let us know in the comments below.

  • Mick may make it into Q2 but sadly won't see the flag in the race as his team mate ( is that the right word in this instance?) will take him out, sadly continuing on to cause more mayhem later. Gasly will have a good race and Ocon will see a welcome return to form, both will finish in the points. Lando will again be in the top half of the top 10 with Dani Ric not too far behind as he continues to feel more comfortable in the McLaren. Leclerc wil be 4th. His brother will have an uneventful (for a change) race and scoop himself some good points. W Series will give us another good race and, I agree, Fabienne will win and go into the summer break with a renewed vigour as well as a possible future role announcement in the coming weeks.
