A thousand cars in flames

In the night of October 30, a thousand cars stored in Savona's port burst into flames. Among the cars there was many Maserati, who were waiting for be exported in middle east. The massive storm and the huge waves crashing over the cars caused the disaster.

Short circuit

Salt water reacted with car's batteries, starting a chain reaction of fire and explosions which extended to all the lot, burning to crisps several Fiat 500L and trucks among the many cars burnt, the wind which infuriated badly only increased the strength of fire, extending the range of destruction, the damages were catastrophic.

Thanks to the hard work of the firemen brigades, the flames has been extinguished and no one was injured.

The storms which hitten Italy in the last days, caused several damages across all the country, the Liguria’s coast was the one which mostly suffered the bad weather conditions, many boats were destroyed by the massive waves and the seaside was terribly ruined.
