Cosworth is universally famous for engines that have not only equipped some of the most legendary Formula 1 cars but have also been supplied to several production cars which have also become iconic.
The most famous were certainly the Ford, but over the years the British motorist has received commissions from many companies including Hyundai.
The Korean manufacturer in fact asked Cosworth for its collaboration to develop a high-performance variant of its Genesis Coupè to be presented at the SEMA 2012 in Las Vegas.

Thus the Cosworth Genesis Racing Series was born, which was aesthetically recognizable for the new body kit, the 19 "sports alloy wheels and the Cosworth badges applied at various points on the bodywork.
The main update, however, concerned the engine, as the Lambda II V6 3.8 24V was updated by British technicians to supply the power of 389 hp with 440 Nm of torque.
The CGRS never went into production, but I wouldn't have minded a serial version. What do you think about it?
