Hyundai release teaser image for a new concept car: Meet the "45"
The Frankfurt Motor Show will open its doors about a week from now and manufacturers are going to showcase a lot of futuristic concept cars. It's all about technology these days and so that's the trend that most carmakers follow, including Hyundai with their latest creation, the "45".
The Korean brand has been cryptic about it and these are the only pictures they've shown so far. It looks like a retro-futuristic concept car with an angular design, taking its inspiration from some muscle cars of the 70s. In truth, I also see the familiar shapes of a DeLorean here and there.
There are no wing mirrors (as is par for the course on most of these concepts), LED lights and an angular windscreen. It looks like a compact three-door hatchback, or even a coupe, with big wheels and black fender flares. The rear end shows an angular rear window, a rear light bar and a "45" logo.
Hyundai hasn't disclosed any information about the concept but this is likely a styling exercise that anticipates the future of some of their vehicles, car companies often do this, and the only thing they said is a “symbolic milestone for Hyundai’s future EV design" and an evolution of what Hyundai calls “Sensuous Sportiness” design language.
The concept car is going to be unveiled on September 10 and Hyundai also said the interior will be unique and customizable.
