Hyundai reveals teaser pics of new Tucson
The car is set to be fully unveiled on September 15th.
The company has stated that the new generation of Tucson will feature a “revolutionary redesign” that will reflect “avant-garde Parametric Dynamics design theme”.
The teaser images show the new Tucson, with a redesigned front and rear ends, the former featuring a new grille and a set of futuristic lights referred to as ‘parametric hidden lights’, which make the car look like it was made for a new Tron movie. These lights will be integrated into the grille, and will be only visible when switched on.
The interior has been given a 'dual cockpit' layout with a large portrait-angled touchscreen built into the centre of the dashboard. There's also no gear lever, which has been replaced by buttons in the middle.
Hyundai's global design boss Sangyup Lee has stated that the car's new design continued the company's design language known as 'Senuous Sportiness' and added that the new Tucson represented a "definitive statement about Hyundai’s unstoppable forward momentum" and called the design its "ultimate evolution".
Although it's still unknown what the price of the new car will be, observers state that it's likely to cost around the same amount as the outgoing car, whose prices start from £25,000.
I'm not going to lie, this car looks very good. In fact, it may be the best-looking car Hyundai has ever made.
