Revampping the past to find inspirations for the future

For the 35th anniversary of the release of Grandeur, Hyundai restomodded the Grandeur (L) sedan as an retro-futuristic electric sedan.

While keeping the original car's design, the Parametric Pixel lights and a redesigned hood & grille give it a more futuristic, modern impressions.

The interior is where most of the changes happened - the buttons and the dials are replaced with one horizontally-wide, one vertically-wide touchscreen displays. Meanwhile, a single-spoke steering wheel and a "jet airplane-style" gear selector give the vintage feeling of the 1980s. Burgundy Velvet and Napa leather seats, along with stitches and laces, also add to this vintage and retro factor.

4-way sound system with 18-speakers, designed alongside with the dashboard and the center console, plays the sound as clear and rich as it could be. When in Park, the driver/passenger can play the piano on the touchscreen.

The Hyundai Heritage Series Grandeur is on display at Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang until November 14, and then will be at Seoul Motorstudio from November 16 to 21.
