Hyundai's next EV looks like a 'poor man's' Porsche Taycan
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Like most rival car makers, Hyundai wants to accelerate the transition towards electric mobility, which is the reason why they're trying to introduce a new model basically every other week. The company was planning to launch the Ioniq 6, the latest addition to the family, about a year from now but they're working to reveal it much earlier than that, possibly as early as next month.
It's built on the same E-GM (Electronic Global Modular) platform that the Ioniq 5 uses but with a completely different styling, it almost looks like a 'poor man's' Taycan, and I personally mean that as a compliment.
Thanks to the E-GMP, the Ioniq 6 is capable of fast-charging and can travel up to 435 miles on a single charge. Hyundai hasn't said much about power and performance yet but they did confirm that it should priced at around $40,000 before tax credits.

Somehow we managed to resurrect the 90s vision of the future.
All it needs is some 3 spoke wheels and it would look right at home in a 90s car design studio
I'm not sure that is a bad thing. As a 37-year-old guy..I like this design more than the Porsche design. Retro Futuristic should be a new category.
It looks fabulous and if it’s built with Hyundai’s usual attention to detail and legendary reliability, it will do well
Correct title is blind man Taycan ...
I actually really like this
😕 don't know what I feel about it, it's an electric look like a knock off or a kit car that tried to look like Porsche taycan...... Everything I despise
