....or how a NASCAR fan came to rally models
As a motorsport fan I am also enthusiastic about rally cars of various types and from all eras.
However, my collection consists mainly of NASCAR cars and a single rally model, as I am not very familiar with the collecting field. Over several months I have played over and over again with the thought to buy a 1/43rd rally car. To dive a little bit into the collecting area, I came across models from IXO, which seem to have a good price/performance ratio. Nevertheless I could not decide and rejected the idea again...
Then by chance I found this 1/43 model from IXO, which was offered for just 10 Euro (normal price 35 Euro). This made the decision easy for me, because I could not go wrong for the price.
And I have not regretted it. The winner-car of the 2017 "Tour de Corse" was piloted by Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul. The model car was delivered in a nice HYUNDAI Motorsport - box. I really like the colour design and also the proportions seem to fit quite well. Some details could be a bit better. Nevertheless you should consider that a comparable model from Spark costs twice as much.
Since I want to take pictures of the rally car in its natural environment, there are only a few pictures taken in my photo box.
