I am Eddie Horner Mason, 13, aspiring one day to be a motoring journalist.
This picture, what you are seeing here is history, with the rising of online things and also the prices of these things, they will soon be gone. I am very grateful for DRIVETRIBE though, it has got me away from the utter tripe you see on snapchat and Instagram. But anyway back on to the point of magazines if you have any lying around I reckon you should keep them. I have some too mainly so I can cut super cars out from them and stick them on my wall. Sorry whenever I write things I tend to go a stray of topic and just ramble but I like to speak my mind something I can only do here on DRIVETRIBE. What I am saying is we should preserve history because in 10 or 20 years time I’ll be in my 20’s or 30’s and I will look back on these magazines and think ‘wow we did have some bloody great looking cars’ and having a picture of these magazines isn’t the same as having a screenshot it actually feels real. I love history it’s probably why I’m a dreary person but perhaps that’s because I’m British. Some people say ‘2019 is the worst I was born in the wrong generation’ and I frankly think people who say that should be sterilised. As James may said ‘every generation says we are going to the dogs, but there are no dogs’ and he’s right. If you look back on 2009 (which is kind of hard for me because I was only 4 but I do remember a bit) the car universe was totally different! Hardly and suv hardy an electric car, styling was different so was speed! Back then the concept of trying to reach 300 mph would be utter rubbish! But we are there and it makes you think in another 10 years time 2029 everything in the car universe we know and love would be different but we don’t know how it will be different. And believe me we will want to see how it was 10 years ago. MAGAZINES! Buy and preserve magazines so we can show our grandchildren and say, ‘us petrolhead had a good run didn’t we’.
I’m so sorry I rambled for ages I do that. I would like this to be seen and I know I don’t have many followers and for people who read all of that I respect you I really do.
I enjoy writing about cars. I’m Eddie Horner Mason thank you for you time, goodbye.
