I CREATED A TOURING CAR MOD OUT OF RAGE AND I WANT YOU TO PLAY WITH ME

Lockdown, working from home and rage against bad players made me create this Touring Car mod to find other players to play with

Lockdown in Melbourne turned out to be quite a lot longer than expected.

That gave me the opportunity to play a little more Forza Motorsport 7. And after not long, I started HATING IT again.

Offline playing is painful, online multiplayer is stuff that makes serial killers! Bad drivers, boring "serie" and all those iterations of the Virginia International Raceway that keep popping out! There cannot be a day of play without a few laps on "Patriot", "Grand East", "Small West", "Turnip"... HATE IT!

Then I started pondering on cars. There are some nice cars. And a lot of potential for touring cars! So I decided to create some tunes. I did some research for each and every model. Find out how much power they need and what weight they have... and then sprinkled some of my OCD and decided to stick to a general rule of thumb: sport tyres, standard width, standard size wheels.

I called my tunes "FYTC" from the name of a famous Facebook page that inspired me to choose which era of touring car racing was better.

In the end, it came out as a medley of group 2 and group A cars from 1963 to 1995, plus some "cup" cars that used to mix with touring cars.

I also created a group, called "FYTC touring car appreciation club". I haven't, yet, done all the cars that I planned, but I'm now asking some of you to join me in some old style, fair played, period liveried, touring car racing.

The plan is obviously to race "full simulation", "full circuits" and avoid all the leagues where "DriftKing2002" drives a Dodge Durango with the sole purpose of ruining your racing time.

Obviously there still are about 20 cars to be made, and I'm working on them as the lockdown seems to be continuing for at least another week.

If you guys want to race, please carry on. Let's meet and bring back touring car racing!

My suggestion would be: 50km race, reversed grid (PP based) and, most of all, a lot of FAIRPLAY! Find the tunes looking for FYTC on the tune search.
