I Dare You to Purchase This Condo Unit That Overlooks a NASCAR Speedway

The discerning well-heeled NASCAR fan can only want the best experience watching the races held at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina. And for those who want a glamorous abode at the heart of stock car racing, this track-front property is waiting for you and anyone you bring along with.

Yes, you can secure for yourself the best seats -- even the best beds -- in Charlotte by buying this 1,400sq-ft condominium unit in First Turn Towers (4741 Morehead Road) for US$575,000. And don't let the gaudy wood trimmings and conference hall-esque furniture arrangement fool you: featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms, it's the perfect abode for the rich NASCAR aficionado.

And if you get bored with the racing (can't blame you), you can sit back and chat with friends and lovers at the bar, talk business by the window, or just tuck in for the night while the Cup cars lull you to sleep. The four-car garage that comes with the package ensures your entourage has ample space to park, and because your condo is trackside, you have access to amenities and food concessions on track -- even driving lessons and ride-along expereinces in racing hardware. Pretty sweet, eh?

This unit has been sold before in 2012, and units similar to this have been bought and rented out for exclusive clientele, especially during the pandemic where the masses can't really gather at the stands but the jet-set can afford an enclave of their own. And with NASCAR back racing, prospective owners will be in for a treat.

As for me...I'm only after the Camry model they put on display.

    • I was expecting a ridiculous building maintenance fee. $500 HOA is pretty great for such a view compared to what I have seen lately.

    • Would've been a good deal if this was an F1 track. Not sure for NASCAR though.

    • Yeah. $1,900 a month for a 2br in Charlotte is not too pricey. Plus getting to watch the Roval races for free is not a bad incentive.
