I do not own a Mustang but I love the car - new and old. I have been having some heated debates with folks lately over the Mach-e. Here is my thinking…
If Ford wanted to build an all electric Mustang then they should have. No one can dispute the performance of all electric cars (see Tesla). But to put the Mustang name on an SUV dilutes the brand and its heritage. I’m sure the Mach-e is a lovely car, but it’s not a Mustang. Am I alone in this?

I agree with you. It should be shortened to just the "Mach-E" and that should be it. Ford is producing an electric mustang soon though
I spoke to a ford dealer recently about the electric mustang. And I couldn’t agree with him less. He said to me that the name needed to be classic and known for their first electric car and that “mustang” was the best option. I think that maybe they should have just picked a name that was new. That way their would be much less hate.
