I got to meet Oliver!
Three years ago, Oliver and I exchanged a few words
Opel 'Oliver' Kadett is all over the DT news these days and after watching Hammond's video on the Drivetribe YouTube channel, I had an epiphany. "Hold on a second," I thought to myself. "I've actually met Oliver". It took 50 minutes and I had to go through half a million HDDs and flash drives but I eventually found what I was looking for.
Back in 2018, I travelled to the UK for the London Motor Show at the ExCel exhibition centre in East London to check out the Drivetribe stand, where Richard Hammond and James May were due to turn up for a meet & greet. And Richard brought Oliver along with him.
He's a nice chap. Not exactly talkative, though. I told him I also have an Opel friend by the name Astra. Oliver said nothing in reply to that. :/

It traversed beyond belief. I named my son Oliver, although that was in connection more to our American family farm and an old 1941 Oliver Row Crop 70 tractor. All-in-all they’re all pretty cool!
