When in America, you either go big or go home, am I right? This list is dedicated to the biggest and the best creations we have seen at SEMA this year. If you don't like trucks, well then I don't know what you're doing here, but don't worry we can still be friends.
1. PICK ONE: LEFT OR RIGHT?
Two variations on the Ford pickup. White versus black, low versus high, purple axle versus not purple axle. These are the important questions.
2. ARMADILLO LINERS FORD SUPER DUTY
This reminds me of the pumpkin carriage 'Texas Cinderella' would ride in. When the clock strikes twelve, this turns into a massive pumpkin.
3. THIS LINE UP THO
Note the lifted Jeep in the background and how tiny it looks next to the trucks.
4. FORD F-350 HELLWIG
They somehow got this onto the second floor in a bridge between two buildings.
5. A MYSTERY TRUCK
Does anyone know what this is? Looks like it could be a heavily modified Ford or Volvo from the 1930s/40s. Maybe a 1940 Ford Half-Ton pickup? There were so many great cars with no visible signage.
6. SAME JEEP, NEW BUTT
These modified 2018 Jeeps feature the telltale redesigned taillights which protrude from the sides of the vehicle to enable the blindspot detectors. While it's nice to have these advanced safety features, a less modified Jeep with less width might get the rear taillight caught on something while driving. All previous Jeep models had taillights more centred in the rear.
7. WET SOUNDS. IS IT WHAT YOU THINK?
Custom 6x6 Ford pickup by the Diesel Brothers at the 'Wet Sounds' booth. If you didn't know that Wet Sounds made marine audio systems, what do you think they would do?
8. THE BIG RED
Once you see this truck as a nerdy face with buck teeth you can't see anything else. Also, what the hell is sticking out of the front axle?
9. HY-PER LUBE ANNIHILATOR MONSTER TRUCK
This truck is not PG-13. Who comes up with the names for these things?
10. ONE GIANT & EXPENSIVE BENCH
This is much bigger than you think. Take a minute to really look. This is one way to make a panel van look really cool. It's also got a snorkel. There's just a lot going on in this picture.
Has anyone actually driven around like this?
This is surprisingly one of the more mundane looking Jeeps at SEMA. It's one of the few that could be used on a day-to-day basis.
13. A TRUE BAJA TROPHY TRUCK
As you can see in the wild, the trophy truck keeps its young close by to keep it safe from predators.
14. OFF-ROADING DECISIONS
Which do you prefer: Solid axle or independent front suspension?
15. ANOTHER 6X6
Perfect for those days when you want to do pull-ups to get into your car.
16. THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS NAVISTAR DEFENSE MXT
Sadly, the Rock was not present.
17. NISSAN TITAN V8
Because even animals need big trucks sometimes.
18. 1 TRUCK, 2 TRUCKS, 3 TRUCKS, 4
One of the few times you can get a Ram, a Ford, and a Chevy owner in the same room.
19. WHEN YOUR CHOPPER WANTS TO HEAR THE MUSIC TOO
For those who just can't leave their motorcycles behind.
20. I SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST
I didn't even need to stand next to this one for comparison as I'm sure you guys can tell that this one is absolutely massive. This one is called the 'BroDozer' and is also by the Diesel Brothers. I give up on these names.
And that's it! Which was your favourite? Does size really matter? Let me know in the comments!
