I know my car will get laughed at and I get it, it's an Agila, but it's no less of a vauxhall than a corsa, with that being said I'm needing some help. Recently I bought this car to replace my old Suzuki Wagon R+ and the only things I know I need to fix are exhaust, alternator, engine light (whatever is causing it) and a pair of rear tires. Recently however, it's developed a new problem. For some reason when it is cold, it'll run like garbage: It'll splutter and smoke like a chimney and the engine just dies if I put the throttle to the floor, but once it warms up the smoking stops, the engine runs smooth and it'll rev just fine. The only reason why I don't immediately assume whatever the engine light is warning me about is because the previous owner said he ran it with the engine light on for 4 years without any faults. The engine is the same 1.2 ecotec found in a corsa (was actually swapped with an engine from a corsa donor car as I found out from my uncle who worked on the car before) so if anyone could give me a clue what's going on then that would be greatly appreciated!
