I once saw a Ferrari
And now I finally have pictures to prove it.
"I once saw a Ferrari" has, over the years, become a repetitive joke of mine. As with most of my jokes, some probably don’t understand this one. I suppose now's the time to explain it.
I'm from a small town in Southern Norway, and as far as cars go, there's not really many exciting automobiles to see here. I haven't seen a Lamborghini, a Bentley, an Aston, a Bugatti, or anything you would call "extravagant". I hadn't seen a Ferrari either, until a couple of years ago when a Testarossa stood parked at the side of a small street. It looked so out of place to me, but what a glorious sight it was. Unfortunately, I did not get the chance to take photos, but I kept hoping I would see it again.
Don't get me wrong, though. I've seen plenty of beautiful cars. Especially when it comes to classics. They are my absolute favourite thing to shoot, because they are special. The amount of love and effort owners put into their precious old timers makes me buzz, and the stories that follow are nothing short of interesting.
I didn't really think I would see something like the Testarossa again, at least not in my hometown. It's safe to say that I was surprised to find a Ferrari 360 Modena at a recent event. This time I had the chance to take photos, so of course I did.
It may not have been the Testarossa I wanted to see again, but it was my first time shooting a Ferrari. I'm very much a sentimental person, so this was pretty special to me.
