I present to you... a Corsa C sedan

Is it made in photoshop? Was it developed by a psychopath in Kazakhstan? No, it was actually made and sold in several countries.

Whenever we think of the Corsa C, we think of a small hatchback with vertical back lights at the sides of the rear window. However, what we DON'T think is of a sedan, but that's precisely was offered to buyers in Latin America, Middle East and South Africa.

Surprisingly, these versions of the Corsa C managed to survive longer than the standard hatchback versions that were sold in Europe (I wonder who bought them and why), with the saloon being dropped in South Africa in 2007, while in Latin America they were kept as late as 2012, when the Corsa D was already reaching its end of production date.

I should also mention that in Latin America, the distributors rebranded the car as Chevrolet Corsa, probably because they knew that keeping the Vaxuhall badge would be beyond humiliating and would result in them having their fingernails pulled out by an enraged mob.

      • In South Africa it was an Opel Corsa and you still see them driving around every now and then. It is also worth noting that the one of the biggest buyers of these horrible little things was the SA government and local authorities.

      • As much as I hate the Corsa C, I'd have one of these for the laughs!
