- First off, Corrado g60 stage 4 charger but needs a rebuild just to be on the safe side.
- Big thanks to John Mitchell at JMR for rebuilding my charger plus a bit more porting, 68mm pulley ( best all round pulley size ) new oil feed and return pipes ( correct pipe size for correct oil feed ), ported Bar-Tek outlet now producing 17.5 psi.
- Lower radiator support panels rust away, so I produced CAD to make this stainless steel version ( will also make Aluminium version ) OEM is not available anymore.
- Freshly powder-coated inner front bumper and front cross member with Power Flex bushes. I found that one of the cross member bolts had not been fitted by the previous owner so check this out on your own cars, I used new OEM bolts.
- New rad, new Pro Alloy fmic as the old one had bits of charger in ( not from my charger thank God ) Oil cooler ( a must have to keep oil temps down ) carbon filter removal with small breather filter in its place, boost gauge from back of manifold.
- New rad support panel holds the bumper much better than fiddly OEM part.
- MK4 golf rear caliper conversion ( well mine are Bora with larger pistons so make sure you get the correct rebuild kit ) the internals can fall apart so I held the assembly together as shown and re crimped the small tags.
- All done. The Aluminium MK4 calipers are much lighter and use a much better hand brake mechanism so they don't seize like the OEM part.
- Rear brake hose clip, now in stainless steel ( Laser cut and a bugger to bend )
- Stainless Bar-Tek fuel rail as the plastic can fall apart. For when I fit my new injectors as running a bit lean, also have an adjustable fpr and new fuel filter, hoses etc. Also my new Quaife fast rack ( last one made ).
- tasteful interior mods. Lost the nasty fake carbon steering wheel for a MOMO seamless stitch line wheel, VW motorsport horn button and gear knob, leather OEM handbrake handle to replace nasty aftermarket part.
- Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres for all weather, Borbet A wheels came with the car but now I need the rear arches rolled ( well you can't just roll early Corrado arches as they are triple layered so need a good panel beater )
- The side coolant flange goes on g60s and this in turn sprays coolant on your wire harness, cheap fix but make sure the surfaces are good.

I would like to start Essential Mods with my own Corrado g60.

This is how I have made the car better with some tasteful and purposeful modifications and what I plan for the future.

Please post useful information on your own cars so that it may help others in keeping cars like this alive.
