I'm trying to give updates on the car, as readily as I can, however work and other things do tend to keep that at a minimum. But here goes.
So upon arrival, the transport driver dropped the car off with a bent muffler tip. On his admission, he did say he bent it upon taking it off the truck. So theres that. I did manage to get bent back into a relative normal location.
It definitely needed new brake pads right off the bat, not because they were low, but because of age. After checking out the underside of the car, there was typical wear on rubber components: suspension bushings, and what not. The cat-back exhaust was some off-brand, hastily welded muffler and tubing, indicated by the exhaust smell I encountered after taking delivery. Little surface rust on various items, nothing critical. Small power steering leak. Just normal wear items.
I knew going into it there would be things I'd have to address. Even with its low miles. So all in all, it's not too bad, but first order was getting regular maintenance items taken car of, before diving into mild performance mode.
I'll try to keep you guys posted as much as I can, with the build and the eventual autocross events.
Thanks in advance everyone!
