It almost seems like, you will find people judging cars based on the name on the badge on the front rather than what that particular model has actually managed to do. If you’ve been around the block once or twice, you’ll quickly be able to point out exactly why that’s a mistake.

There are also certainly vehicles out there that fall under the supercar category that are worth their weight in gold when it comes to performance ability. However, as it turns out, there are also a lot of supercars that really don’t perform as well as the untrained mind would expect them to.

Heres a video collection of races as these supercars take on other imported machines of the non-supercar variety that you might not expect to be able to hold a candle in these sorts of races.

  • Look at all the supercar fanboys in the comments lol. I’m all for supercars, but you have to respect the sheer power of heavily modified Japanese sports cars.

  • Wow! Highly modified cars with significantly more horsepower outrunning stock cars with less horsepower. Amazing!

  • Who cares?

The whole point of a great supercar is that it's an all-rounder. Clearly you can build a car that's better at one thing; easy(ish) to make a Mustang that'll demolish a Ferrari 488 in a drag race or a Caterham that'll thrash a Bugatti Veyron around a track.

But in a supercar you can drive to the Nurburgring in comfort, lap it in a crazy time (talent permitting), cruise across Europe with a spirited drive over the Alps and then park at the Villa d'Este without looking out-of-place. Name me a single modified car that can do all of that...

  • Thats not a test. that is just an accelleration in a straight line

Put them on a track and let them drive hard for 3 hours

And see the best time. And i garantee the modded car will break
