In 1996 Porsche took a dominant 1-2 class win at Le Mans with the beautiful 911 GT1. The only car up the road at the flag was the Joest Racing LMP1 prototype, developed by Porsche and power by the flat-six from our 935.

Some story behind that TWR-Porsche WSC-95. Incredible how it beat the GT1's in 1996 and 1997, when it was just a reused Jaguar XJR-14 chassis with the roof lopped off and an old Group C flat six stuffed in the back.
