  • Why is leave it stock the last?

Whatever car it is, it is always the most cost-efficient to leave it stock. By the time you've invested in thousands of dollars for a turbo, ECU remap, exhausts, and brakes, you could've bought a hire trim car instead. Furthermore, you void the warranty, meaning you won't be able to get any factory service for free when there's a problem. Of course, there are some exemptions.

One is when there isn't a higher trim or level car; such as you tuning a Bugatti Chiron into a 500km/h drag monster.

The second is for old classic cars where you won't probably be able to buy a higher level car. For example, you won't be able to buy a real 911 RSR (the old ones), but you could always have the same setup with aftermarket parts.

    • Because this question is about mods. It makes most sense to have leave it stock as the last option.

  • Have a race exhaust, change the rims if they're not black and leave it stock..

  • In my case... I would begin with some basic mod like weight reduction, improved suspension/brakes and then... let the performance sink in
