Introducing the Golf RLMS

APR unveils new 400kw Golf R at SEMA and it looks bonkers!

2y ago

APR are a US based firm that specialise in VW group products and at SEMA this year they unveiled the absolutely mad 400kW Golf R which has now been dubbed as the Golf RLMS.

This hungry little hatchback has had APR’s stage III+ engine kit attached to it an already-meaty 2 litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine. But that’s not it, the RLMS will also have new upgraded injectors and fuel pump and a new inter cooler. The result of all this engine wizardry is that the RLMS will go 0-225 km/h nearly 15 seconds quicker than a normal Golf R.

“we wanted to create a stage iii track car that can dominate circuits around the country”

Mitch Williams APR president

An adjustable rear wing, custom APR exhaust and RLMS embroidery on the seats are all contributing factors that help this track monster to become a menacing image for any other drivers it comes face to face with.

I think it would be fair to say that you wouldn’t want to see this thing coming screaming up behind you on a track!

What do you think?

  • I was thinking about what I should replace my Mk7 Golf with the other day. I'd quite like to give this a test drive.

  • I really like the fact that you use KW to express the car power, and voluntarily don't make the conversion in HP to make people accept the change of power measurement
