Is the Answer to Winter Also Miata?
Miata for the Canadian winter....
As a petrolhead for as long as I can remember, I know that the answer is always Miata. At least that's what all the motoring journalists claim. I've resisted the urge to get a Miata for years because I live in Canada and we have winters. Serious winters. So that's always been my excuse. But now I really want a fun car that I can rev out without needing to be on the track. And it needs to be on the cheap ($5k or less Canadian).
And....after all of my research, truly, Miata is the only answer given that I want a rwd, cheap, reliable, manual, fun car that I can rev out without worrying that it will break when pushed hard.
But here's the kicker - I want to drive said car year-round. The Canadian winter is in reality something like 6 months. And I don't want a car I can't enjoy half the year. I've watched videos of people driving their Miatas in the winter (with proper winter tires) and it looked very enjoyable and manageable.
Does anyone here drive their Miata in the winter? What's your experience been?
Wonder if James from Throttle House drives his Miata in the winter....
