Is the Lexus ES the best luxury saloon you never considered?
Ever since I sat in my first Mercedes S-Class, I have been drawn to this exquisite lifestyle of travelling in luxury. Just the thought of sitting in a comfortable and spacious saloon tingles the follicles on my back. Until the other week, I had only really considered the BMW 7 Series, Rolls Royce Phantom and Mercedes S Class but this car could be a better alternative.
The Lexus ES, or more specifically the ES 300h Takumi which is the highest level of ES. This is a luxury saloon from Japan and competes with the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class.
You see, the Takumi edition starts at around £45,000 which is about half the price of an S-Class and but still has most of what the German can offer. I know this is meant to compete with the likes of the E-Class but if I am perfectly honest, I think it is more in the same class as its older brother, the S-Class.
In terms of comfort, you cannot get much better. I recently watched a Smith and Sniff video and you could practically see Richard drifting off to sleep in the driver's seat. Lexus have always been known and praised for comfort, ever since the first LS 400.
After watching this YouTube video by Smith and Sniff, I was convinced I needed one in my life. In actual fact, I'll take any luxury Lexus.
