Is this 610hp Audi 80 Quattro the ultimate sleeper?

This car has the same power-to-weight ratio as a Pagani Zonda

This very inconspicuous-looking Audi 80 Quattro has a trick up its sleeve that many people wouldn't dream of thinking up.

Its owner has taken the car's standard 2.2-litre naturally aspirated inline-five that produced 136hp and has now pumped in a lot more. As it stands, this Audi 80 now has the same power-to-weight ratio as a Pagani Zonda.

When it left Paul’s Classic Car Restorations garage in the UK, it had a massive 610hp under the bonnet – a huge increase over every other 80 Quattro.

In order to do this, the original engine was replaced by a five-cylinder S2 engine and the transmission was sourced from a US-spec Audi 200, but other than that, most other components remain stock.

  • “Most other components remain stock,” the owner is definitely gonna get themselves killed! Regardless it’s still a cool car!

    • My thoughts exactly. It wasn't engineered to have that much power. Awesomeness nonetheless. Just needs to have the braking power of a Zonda to go with the fire.

    • Absolutely! I’d say it definitely needs big brakes and good tyres

  • It is awesome 😃 I love it and I don't care that they did not upgrade suspension, brakes etc. It is like what I might have built in my late teens or early 20's and that is the most fun stuff!! 👍 Enjoy it!!

  • I LOVE those wheels 😎 Azev A's are possibly the coolest rims ever designed.

    I don't care if it's standard with 90bhp it's still very cool 👍
