When the 2020 Land Rover Defender, a few people were worried it won't be 'capable enough' or 'rugged enough' for their offroad needs. However, many tests have proven them wrong and this render is a prime example of how you could make your 2020 Defender stand out from the rest.

This render has been made by the very talented @newdefendermods in collaboration with @moaoun_moaoun. These images show what you could really do with the new Defender in order to make it look beefier and handle better off the main road.

As you can see by the images, this Defender has seen quite a transformation. It now has a 2-inch Air Susp lift, beefy offroad tyres, a factory front winch, factory snorkel, ladder, roof rack, wheels and rear locker and recovery hooks. There are also some rather cool looking bush cables which all offroad vehicles should have in my opinion.

As for the inside, the designers have added some more factory parts from Land Rover such as deep rubber floor mats, a compressor and cargo barrier.

Make sure to give them a follow over on Instagram if you like this kind of thing as they aim to update these renders as new parts become available for the 2020 Defender.

Would you upgrade your 2020 Land Rover Defender to look like this?

  • Definitely looks capable, I’m surprised how well the design can work with a old style bullbar.

I wonder if it’s on portal axles in this concept design or maybe extended props? I don’t see diffs, which would be great for offroading as you don’t have to worry about damaging anything under the car.

    • Hmm, well I was meaning the prop shafts must be bloody long, but then again the diffs are nicely protected. Wouldn’t mind this, but tbh, I think a normal 90 would do for all my offroading needs massively. I’d happily say my current dream...

    • The ever so fauuncy offroader. Drinks earl grey tea whilst climbing mountains and fording rivers...

    • That sounds fun. Except for the tea part.

  • At first glance I thought the leading photo was of a Discovery 3 or 4.
