The next generation of the Mercedes flagship is eagerly awaited. The prototypes seen by spy photographers are increasingly abandoning their camouflage. From now on, it would be the interior of the new S-Class - the W223 - that leaked. This picture comes from the Mercedes-Fans website but we don't know yet if it is the new S-Class. However, some interesting details could confirm this.
Above all, we notice a dashboard with a minimalist design that is perfectly in line with the latest spy photos. For example, there are new ventilation flaps with a rectangular design that are much thinner than before. But what strikes you most is of course this giant, very inclined touch screen.
Using a vertical format like the Tesla Model S, the screen here is fully integrated into the very high centre console. The instrument cluster is located on a now separate digital panel, as on the Actros truck. The steering wheel, on the other hand, seems identical to the steering wheels of the current models.
The only detail that can raise questions is the ignition key, which is huge here! The XXL size hole is a complete contrast to this futuristic dashboard. Maybe this element is a removable hole for emergency situations? Maybe this hole will no longer be present on the final model? In any case, if we have in front of us the real interior of the new S-Class, it is very likely that it will be replicated in the future on other models in the range.
