Isuzu Ute launches 1.9-litre turbo diesel D-MAX SX Single Cab Chassis
Available from today the D-MAX SX Single Cab Chassis 4×2 features an all new power plant
With the updated 2022 D-MAX range now available to order through Isuzu UTE dealers nationwide, the car maker has introduced a new SX Single Cab Chassis 4×2, available from today, 4 January 2022, and priced from just $29,990 drive away.
Available with the new RZ4E-TC 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine, the SX Single Cab Chassis is set to be the pragmatic choice of tradesmen, commercial operators and fleet drivers that prioritise maximum payload capacity, fuel efficiency and low operating costs.
Just like the rest of the D-MAX range, it has been awarded with the maximum 5-star ANCAP safety rating, due in part to the advanced suite of driver safety and assistance technologies.
Headlining the list is autonomous emergency braking with turn assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, as well as the ability to toggle lane support systems on and off.
Built to last, with a hardy wipe-down vinyl floor and hardwearing surfaces throughout, the updated D-MAX SX Single Cab Chassis is as utilitarian as they come, but still features the same high-level of standardised equipment as the rest of the SX range.
The gear selector and steering wheel, equipped with reach and rake adjustment to optimise the driver’s position and comfort are both trimmed in durable urethane. Commanding the centre dashboard is a 7.0-inch high-definition infotainment system too.
It features voice recognition, DAB+ radio, and the latest in smartphone mirroring with wired Android Auto and wired or wireless Apple CarPlay. Large air-conditioning air vents flank the infotainment touchscreen.
The outer air vents include the famed pop-out cup holders that have become synonymous with Isuzu vehicles. Under the hood, the new power plant offers 110kW of power and 350Nm of torque. Unique to Australia, the engine does not require AdBlue.
Power and torque is transferred to the wheels via either Isuzu’s 6-speed manual transmission or an Aisin-built 6-speed auto, both sporting similar levels of performance refinement. The combination offers fuel consumption figures of 7.0-litres/100km.
Equipped with a 76-litre diesel fuel tank, this new variant is capable of travelling close to a 1,000km between fuel stops. Payload is an impressive 1,405kg with the manual transmission, and 1,380kg for the automatic.
Braked towing capacity is an equally solid 2,800kg and 3,000kg respectively. The ladder-frame chassis is the same as the rest of the D-MAX range, and constructed extensively using high tensile steel.
As part of the $29,990 drive away offer, the 1.9-litre SX Single Cab Chassis 4×2 in manual form, is fitted with Isuzu Ute’s genuine economy alloy tray, with a selection of options also available. Lockable side draws and toolboxes can also be fitted, along with ladder racks.
The D-MAX SX Single Cab Chassis, like all Isuzu vehicles, is covered by the Service Plus 6-7-7; encompassing a 6-year 150,000km warranty, up to 7-years roadside assist when serviced through a dealer, and 7-years capped price servicing.
It can be optioned in a selection of finishes, including Mineral White, Basalt Black Mica, Cobalt Blue Mica, Mercury Silver Metallic, and Obsidian Grey Metallic. The auto transmission variant is priced at $33,200 plus on-roads.
The 2022 Isuzu D-MAX SX Single Cab Chassis is also available in manual and auto, with a 3.0-litre turbo diesel powertrain, with those versions priced at $33,200 and $35,200 respectively (both plus on-roads).
