Well, in our previous video we mention that we suspected it was an ornament that didn't run, however we have since been submitted this video of the V12 Toyota 86 ACTUALLY RUNNING! So, we can say, that we were so wrong! Thanks to Khalid Khalfan, Jeremy Taylor and Antonio de la Hoz for the additional footage.

Either way - We are suitably impressed with this build! Please scroll on for more pictures and videos of the beast running!

Powered by a Toyota Century V12 engine, with not two, but FOUR rather sizeable turbochargers hanging off the sides... Claimed power output is a mild 800hp, but we suspect if this thing ever does run and is tuned to it's full potential, it would make a whole lot more.

And yes, it actually drives too!

  • So, how fast can the rear end overtake the front?

  • Wow!..... You've ruined a perfectly good GT86 with your pointless engine swap....

I bet that handles like a giant bag of crap.

    • well, the 86 is pretty fucking slow

    • As will be this car... as its understeering off the track... in a glorious cloud of tyre smoke stupidity.

  • All you whining about handling, don't even know. About 70% of the amateur level racing in the US is done at the drag strip.

Even then, with a larger/stronger transmission and possibly swapped out rear sub frame/diff to be able to handle the power plus roll cage and other stuff, weight distribution should be almost the same, just heavier.

It's likely that the car isn't being built for the street, because putting in an older engine in a newer chassis automatically makes it not street legal, by US national standards.

This is coming from a guy that use to build datsuns for 10 years of my life.

  • Forgetting the Quad Turbo's... How the hell did they fit a damn V12 in that thing. It should be scraping the ground or Melting its bonnet and fenders or just simply bursting from power like bodybuilders do when they go too far on the flexing .... 😅
