I've been a bit quiet on here of late cos we've all been away shooting in Dubai and I stayed on to do a bit more. I'm not going into detail because I don't want to spoil anything. Weird isn't it: we're going to put it all on the telly anyway, but we want to do that only when it's good and ready.... And I've been edited to look like I can drive/speak/know which way to face. The shocker above featured, along with its colleagues and a whole host of other cool stuff.
...of course it is....
Meanwhile here's a picture of a Dubai emergency vehicle. Cool, I believe.
Yup, that's for emergencies that is. The kind that demand a V8 and a LOT of noise.
Also, I've noticed during my short stay here that there's a lot of very decent filming kit available. Although I'm not saying that the big truck with the camera arm on it got stuck in the sand later in the day and I had to pull it out with a .... nope, can't give that much away: I'll get hell when I get back to the office.
Oh yes, that is one rugged camera arm and truck. Pity it got stuck and I had to .... no, not telling. Yet.
I'm done now though. So thank you Dubai and goodnight. SOME of the following snaps MIGHT feature in The Grand Tour, some won't but they're all in and around Dubai. Including the dead pigeon on the tree.

it doesn't look like a shocker but more of a suspension part in a dune buggy car....sort of thing
A tank?
Hence the price of oil, disgusting treatment of imported workers and women.
I'd like to see their ambulances, probably they have helicopters instead.
looking forward to the Christmas special that's assuming there will be one?
