A Jaguar concept idea back in 2017 has come to light again, after Jaguar confirming today on Twitter, that they will go ahead with the restoration of the E-type Jaguar - with a twist... This is the E-type Zero. Hello Handsome...

One of the most beautiful cars on the planet, of all time, has been given a new lease of life, the electric engine. This lithium-ion powertrain is the king. They have created it so it still gives that power and life the original straight six did, and here's another thing... you can either order one of their restored models or bring in your own E-type, they will switch that old pile of metal junk out for you...

And if you don't agree with the brand-spanking new engine, you can switch back to the classic straight six. You wouldn't have known it was even in there, like a heart transplant, minus the large chest scar. They say this electrical heart they take from the I-pace, can do 0-62mph in a weird way to say figure. And I quote, it "takes significantly less than 7 seconds".... So its 6 seconds or less? Well that's dandy, but that's still really good for one thing. The weight distribution doesn't affect the ride or brakes - meaning they don't have to mess around too much with the rest of the car.

The only other bits and bobs that are new are the LED headlights, a fancy electronic dashboard and an optional touchscreen infotainment system if you want to play your favorite music without the use of a record player in the passenger seat... Well, it was the 1960s after all - yet both the classic looks of the E-type with this new technology blends well as its styled immaculately.

Preserving the past with a modern twist to save the world against the polar bears melting or something like that - Jaguar has been smart on this. Why change the way cars look when there is nothing wrong with classic and beautiful cars. Why can't we do this with all electric cars in future? Ditch the large carbon fiber wheels and brushed fake 'chrome' in a plastic body shell. Get the leather and steel out again...

It's time to make real cars again...

This is a car for the future...
