Jaaaaggggggg...
Welcome to my second instalment of...
In the passenger seat!
This is on my dad's new Jag XK8 4.0 V8, which has done 70k miles from new and is *MINT*! The car is lovely inside, the white cream leather and hopefully real lacquered wood. All the bells and whistles work as they should, apart from the window mechanism on the drivers side which makes a really weird and annoying noise when you try to put it up fully. We have checked it and there are teeth missing from the mechanism so we need a new one...
When we tried the radio it turned on to a tape of classical music which made me say the words "The names Bond, James Bond" even though I'm in a Jag.
Outside the sleek lines are beautiful and the red glistens in the sun. But it sounds like the looks of a mclaren's rear... A vacuum cleaner! The exhaust rattles though so I think we are probably going to straight pipe it. Before my mum and dad left to go shopping in it, I attempted to fit in the back. I dont even think a baby could fit in there, but being 5'6/7 I think I should just leave it.
It even has sport mode! It's very fast with it on and off, but when we turned it on and put the hammer down, the kickdown from the automatic gearbox was near enough immediate and we just shot off!
Thank you for reading...
In the passenger seat!!

  • a nice read, those V8s really shift, reminds me of my late Grandfather's S-Type 4.2 V8, an electrifying, but insulated drive...
